Today

Rang the court again today to find out what was happening with the discharge. Was told that they are still four weeks behind on paperwork. Thankfully I spoke with a reasonable human being who understood that I wanted to get on with my life. The upshot is that I am going to be discharged today and they will send the paperwork to the Insolvency service.

Here's hoping that the Insolvency register will reflect the fact of my discharge soon.

Will post to let you all know when the paperwork is through from the Insolvency service.

Waiting for the Court

The Official Receiver has sent notice of early discharge to my local County Court. The administration process is now becoming frustrating and fraught with delays. The local County Court has told me that they have a three week backlog on dealing with their post. This means that the discharge is going to be delayed.

It's funny that this piece of paper now holds so much store for me. It is the only way that I can get Sky TV; they won't reconnect me until I am discharged. It's also about getting out of my bankrupt headspace, the certificate of discharge is the key.
